KAIROS brings people together across faith traditions, identities and geographies to deepen understanding, build right relationships and act collectively. We centre reconciliation, connect struggles too often treated separately and strengthen the people power required to transform unjust systems.
Our work is grounded in human dignity, Indigenous sovereignty, ecological integrity, gender justice, migrant justice and peace.

For 25 years, Kairos has brought people together to confront injustice, strengthen movements and imagine what becomes possible when collective action is rooted in relationship. Founded in 2001 through the coming together of ten ecumenical justice coalitions, Kairos was created from a simple conviction: we can accomplish more together than apart.
Since then, we have worked alongside Indigenous Peoples, faith communities, grassroots organizers and global and domestic partners to advance human rights, ecological justice, gender justice, migrant justice and peace. From helping to expand the reach of the Kairos Blanket Exercise, to advocating for the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, to supporting women peacebuilders and land defenders around the world, to assisting and advocating for migrant workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, to mobilizing for global debt justice, our work has always connected learning, advocacy and solidarity.
Over the past quarter century, Kairos has evolved while remaining grounded in the same belief: lasting change happens when people build relationships, deepen their understanding and act together. Today, that commitment continues through campaigns that connect intersectional calls for justice.
